Leaving my boyfriend

My boyfriend and I have a daughter and I am planning on leaving him. His name is on the birth certificate and I need to know: if I leave him and take our daughter, can he press charges on me?

He can certainly file a paternity suit and attempt to take possession of the child or at least secure possession and access rights. You should talk to a good family law attorney.
