You are a "child" until you turn 18 for civil purposes.
For criminal purposes you are now an adult.
You are in a "hazy" area of the law.
If your friend is a male, I urge you to not move in with him until you are 18.
If your parents don't care if you move out, then there won't be any problems.
Your parents are liable for you until the moment you turn 18.
