Legal Question in Family Law in Texas
What legal action can I take against CPS? My daughter had CPS called on her the last of July and in Nov. she left leaving the children with me. I called CPS and informed them but I would never get a response from them. I had one visit the whole time she was gone and at that the CPS supervisor spoke to my mother since I was at work. She not once notified me by phone or in person. I still contacted them with no response. I did this day after day, week after week until I just gave up. My daughter came back the last of Jan. and CPS finally contacted us again the LAST WEEK of Feb. Now they had her moved out of the house and once a week for a hour visitation. She is 3 months pregnant with no real place to go. CPS still want's to have a meeting to have my grandchildren remove from the house. I know my daughter and she would not and has NEVER physically harmed her children. CPS told me that it is not their fault for not getting ahold of me that it was and is my daughter for not doing what they have asked of her. Is it legal for CPS to have a open case and not do anything for 3 months and 3 weeks? All I want is custody of my Grandchildren. All this is just causing alot of stress and hardship.
1 Answer from Attorneys
1. You need a lawyer.
2. Dealing with the CPS is like dealing with the Nazi party. They have no souls, and they have no mothers. They will treat you like nothing.
3. Stop calling them. WRITE LETTERS, and send them by certified mail. And keep a copy. Forget telephones.
