Legal Question in Family Law in Texas

Legal age for a child to choose

My son is 16, Ive had custody of him for over three years now.I won custody due to CPS stepping in and finding the mother and her boyfriend guilty of neglect due to my son being around drug abuse, drug dealers, physical abuse, and emotional abuse. His great grand parent(grand parent of the mother) is now trying to push for enforcement of the ordered visitation in the mothers name. See since I won custody the mother has made ZERO attempt to see him or contact him! The paperwork I received says the gp will pick him up and the mother will visit him at the gp's house... makes no sense! It was also court ordered that my son is not allowed to be around the mothers live in due to the drugs and abuse. Heres our concerns, my son is opportunistic, we feel he will go to the grandparents house and they will try to ''buy him'' back with a car or guilt. Theres no structure at th gp's house only chaos...the kids are allowed to do ANYTHING with no resposibility or expectations. He now has a structured life with rules and expectations and he has adapted perfectly since being with us. So what happens if I dont let him go? I have a ton of proof the mother is unfit with a history of horrible things to back me up. Can he choose to live with the gp? Y Now?
