Legal Question in Family Law in Texas

Legal age of child for visitation

I have a 12 yr old that does not want to see his father on visitations, and his father is threatening us to take him away if he does not come. What is the legal age in Texas that he does not HAVE to go?

There is no such legal age. Read your divorce decree. It does not say "if he *wants* to go". However, your decree can be modified for good reason. Maybe you or your son have the good reasons. The judge will decide whether or not he "has to go".

18 or until the current order is modified.
