Legal Question in Family Law in Texas

Legal Age to move out

My daughter will be 17 shortly and is planning on moving out and moving in with her girlfriend. Can she move out at 17 and are we still responsible for her actions? What about health insurance and car insurance can we still cover her?

Re: Legal Age to move out

Your daughter is NOT an adult until the day she turns 18.

You will need to talk to your health insurance provider and car insurance provider regarding what their requirements are concerning insurance.

Yes, you are legally responsible for her actions until she turns 18.

From your email, I can guess who runs your household -- a child!
