What is the legal age to move out in the state of Texas?

Sorry, I know this is probably not the answer you were hoping for, but it's 18. The only way it's legal at 17 is if you've been emancipated by a court, have your parent's permission or fall into one of the special categories that you normally would need a parent's permission to fall into (married and in the military are the ones that come to mind, seems like there's one more like that). Otherwise, you are still legally considered to be a child as far as getting to choose where you live goes.
