What is the legal age in Texas for moving out? I understand 18, but I heard there was a diffrence between th boys and girls. Does she have to be 18? can she be 17? Also can she take her Social Security Benefits with her? As in can she get a change of adress for them and carry them with her? And me not get anymore if she moves out?

Re: Legal Age in certain Situations

A child can be an emancipated minor by no longer living at home and supporting herself in different ways. A child under the age of 18 can be reported and prosecuted as a runaway. The SS check belongs to the child as a beneficiary of the deceased parent. This SS benefit never belonged to the surviving parent.
