Your question just got posted after 1 a.m. on Friday, December 3rd! Sorry!

Yes there is legal aide but it usually takes weeks to get a pro bono attorney since the demand for free attorneys is so great. There is a long application process.

Based on your zip code, you might have to wait months for a free (pro bono) attorney.

Be careful about calling information - the legal aide phone number is actually a for profit company not based in Texas!!! There are a lot of BBB complaints against this company -- do not use them! They charge a lot of money for worthless paperwork! The man just moves around and never pays the judgments against him!

Lone Star Legal is one pro bono place in Texas. Look on the State Bar of Texas website for leads. There are several places around Texas that offer pro bono help. Some law schools do too.

Some attorneys will help you and ask the Judge to order your husband to help pay your legal fees!

Good luck!
