Legal Aid Qualifications

Can a person who resides in the state of Kansas be represented by a legal aid attorney using IOLTA funds in the state of Texas? DETAILS-Son in law resides in Kansas. Filed for divorce in Texas originally-March 2008. Was reffered to Legal aid. Moved to Kansas in July. He is still represented by a legal aid attorney and REFILED in DECEMBER-while a resident of KAnsas!! NOTE-the dummy filed in the wrong county anyway-WE lived in Tarrant County-daughter lived in Harris County.

It would depend on the policy of that agency.

He was a resident at the time he filed for divorce.
