Legal Question in Family Law in Texas

I am going through a legal battle with my son's father on modifiying the previous court decree and issues he has brought up about holding me in contempt because I stopped paying for 1/2 of the flights when our son went to visit him in another city. I have an attorney but feel like I am throwing money away and nothing is being resolved. Can I go to court without an attorney and still get a fair hearing?

Don't go to court without a lawyer.

You can fire the lawyer you have and hire a new one.

But before you do that, I suggest that you write a letter to your current lawyer (no phone calls or texts or emails) and tell him why you're not satisfied, and ask him what he can do.
