Legal Question in Family Law in Texas

legal custody

I have a grandchild who I have court appointed custody of. He is 2 yrs. old and I have had him since he was 3 days. The court papers say Temporay custody. Do I need to do something or will it automatically change over to permanant. Both parents are suppose to pay child support to me, but they can't stay off drugs or out of jail long enough to hold a permanant job.

Re: legal custody

It will not automatically become a final order, you need to get a final order.
