Is it legal to date if you are legally separated?

I left my abusive husband in Nov 05. I filed for divorce in March 06. I was wondering if it is considered adultery if I start dating again at this point. I was faithful during my 7 year marriage and through our separation. When I filed for divorce he had 30 days to respond. His 30 days were up over a week ago. I havent heard anything from him. I dont want to do anything that might put me at fault but I am interested in dating again. Do I have to wait until the divorce is final?

You are still married so if you have an affair it would be technically adultery.

If he does not answer, you can do a default divorce in approx. 30 days.

I don't recommend dating while married.
