no legal papers have been filed yet can i move out of state?

My husband moved out of our house. I want to move out of state to be close to my family and to get a better job. Can I legally move out of state?

If there are no children you can move. Once you live in your new state for the statutory period you can file for divorce there. If he files here you may have to fight the fight here. Call me if you need more help-I am in the Houston area.

If there are no outstanding court orders, you can move out of state. If a court's jurisdiction has been invoked, and there is a restriction on moving, then you cannot. If he files in the county/state where you currently live, then you may have to travel back and forth for the court hearings. TCL
