Legal rights to a child

My husband and I are married and he has had a child with another woman. We have been giving her money but she will not let us have visitation with the child. What legal rights do we have?

Has your husband ever sought custody through the courts? The difficulty with an informal arrangement, such as the one you seem to describe, is that there is no court order to enforce.

I would highly recommend seeking the assistance of an attorney in filing a lawsuit in order to establish a proper custody order. If an order is already in place, and the mother is violating it, then you will need to seek enforcement from the court.
