Legal Question in Family Law in Texas

My legal rights

Me and my husband are separted and have been since Nov.17,2008.

My question we are selling our home and splitting the money to get a place of our ownand I have no income coming in and he has tlod me that when the house sells he want be giving me anymore money and we have been married 21 years Dec.21 , 2008 can he do that to me?

The Family Code requires that both spouses financially support each other as long as they are married.

Can he refuse to give you money for ongoing expenses - yes. Will a judge in a divorce case think that is appropriate - probably not.

You need to consult a lawyer about a divorce asap.
