Legal Question in Family Law in Texas
Legal rights as an illegal person
If women from another country have children in the US, they by default become temporary citizens, if I remember correctly. Is this true for men? If they have children in the states, but are not originally from the states themself? Or what happens? If the couple decides to divorce, what can happen to the husband/father of the child?

Re: Legal rights as an illegal person
Any child born in the United States is a US citizen. (with rare exception). The parents' nationality and legal status and marital status are irrelevent. Citizenship is permanent, not temporary. The only issues arise when a child is born outside the US borders to a US citizen.
