Legal Separation

hi.

i'm 16 yrs old.

& i recently had an agruement with my mother.

& now am living with my grandparents. but can i get legal seperation from my parents. (mother & father).

Technically speaking, you could file a Suit Affecting the Parent Child Relationship. But your grandparents would have to file this on your behalf or you would have to have an attorney ad litem appointed to act on your behalf since you are a minor.

If you're seeking legal emancipation, you must be 17 before doing so in the State of Texas. You must also be able to show that you are financially self-sufficient.
