Legal Question in Family Law in Texas

Legally Entitled to?

Who is legally entitled to the engagement & wedding ring if you are only married for three months? I don't know if it matters, but I paid for my own wedding ring as well.

You raise a question that has led to many court cases, which means that lawyers often cite law that conflicts, resulting in different opinions.

The engagement ring is a gift, but a conditional gift, based upon consummation of the contract. If the marriage does not happen, then the person breaking the contract loses the ring. If the contract - marriage - occurs, as in your case, the person receiving the gift keeps it as separate property.
