Limitations for Child Support

I was recently told,that there is a possibility of limitation on how long that the attorney general's,after birth.The children were born into a family and given the name of the mother's husband,and the birth certificate reads as that gentleman being the father.They lived as a family for 12yrs., at which time due to infedelity they filed for divorce.It is now 1yr. later and i was contacted and subsequently(by dna testing) found to be the father.Not trying to sound like a deadbeat,is there anything available to protect me.(i.e. laws or info)The amount they wish to take would not leave me enough to take care of my current family.I also due pay support for one other child.

Unless the Texas AG can show good cause, they can only go back 4 years for child support.

I would definately hire an attorney to represent your interests in court.

The Texas A G does not represent you or the mother -- they represent the interests fo the State of Texas.
