Is there a limited number of divorces that one person is allowed in the state of

Texas?

No. I've heard of 10 marriages, but I'm sure there are more.

However, in order to avoid bigamy, there must be a divorce between each marriage.

The law requires that a divorce cannot be entered until after a 60 cooling off period expires. A marriage license cannot be issued until 30 days after a divorce. So if you filed for divorce, you cannot remarry until after 90 days expires. So if you filed for divorce immediately after you marry, you have to wait 3 months to be married again. This works out to 4 marriages (and divorces) a year. If you start at 18 and stop at 60 this works out to 208. You can keep on going but at some point you are going to get tired or broke.
