Legal Question in Family Law in Texas
Limited Texas Power of Attorney vs Ga Child Support Order
My daughters father was paroled to TX. My child support case is in--name removed-- His sister now has a limited power of attorney (incharge of his finances). I wanted to know if she can be held legally responsible and my lawyer or a lawyer get her for child support or what? I also feel this was done underhandedly (his family knows of my daughter and knows of the child support). They have no intention of calling just to say hi let alone child support assistance past, present, or future. However, I also want to know if they have any grounds to try to get legal custody, visitation, etc. Please note he has been in jail several times and in the past his sister has had custody of her kids taken away - would that not be in my favor? Also note, we live in--name removed--- Anyone know any good TEXAS lawyers? Help before he evades what is due his child (already$25,000.00 in arrears). Thanks in advance

If the father lives in the Houston area, you can give me a call.
I don't know if I can help but it's worth discussing.
Have you gone to the Attorney General in your state and tried to start collection proceedings against him? Eventually, Texas A. G. will go after him.
Good luck!
