Legal Question in Family Law in Texas
I live with my ex- girlfriend, we have 3 kids together, I am the sole provider in the household, i take care of my kids including her. I am trying to move on and the process hasn't been easy, she isn't working and I am afraid if I leave her she will run off with my kids and try to stick me for child support. I want to know what can I do to have a positive result from this. She and I don't get along and I want to get away before it gets worse. I want to know what my rights are.

Based on the facts you've given, you will both be named Joint Managing Conservators of the children. If you really are the primary caregiver of the children, you have a good chance of being designated as the conservator with the exclusive right to designate the primary residence of the children. That means they would live with you and she would pay you child support.
If she ends up with the exclusive right to designate their primary residence, you will pay child support to her.
I would strongly urge you to consult with a local family law attorney. If you don't think you can afford one, contact Legal Aid or the Texas Legal Services Center (www.tlsc.org).
Good luck!
