if i live in Houston tx and my baby's father lives in El Paso tx how would custody work?

Either you will come to an agreement, or the court will devise a transportation plan for possession and access. Generally, if the parents were within 100 miles of each other at the time of the child's birth; then the parent who moved away first bears the bulk of the expense of travel. If that is not the case, then the court will look at the age of the child, the maturity of the child, the finances of the parents and sometimes the relative inconvenience to the child in making a decision regarding the child's best interest.
