I live in Leon County Texas

I am 30 years old with 3 children

Married 14 years, my husband has walked out and wants a divorce taking all of our money and says he will no longer pay our bills that are due immediatly, is this legal?

I do not work, I am a college student and had just made a payment towards my studies which he says he has made a stop payment at the bank.

I have $30 to my name, and I dont know what to do.

I am desperate, please give me some advise.

It is legal for your husband to leave you.

It is legal for him to refuse to pay bills.

It is legal for him to take money out of the bank, as long as it doesn't belong to somebody else.

You need to get a lawyer immediately. Figure out a way to get some money: borrow it, or sell something. A lawyer can file a divorce and ask for temporary orders that will require your husband to start paying money immediately.
