Legal Question in Family Law in Texas
I live in a small town. I have never had any problems for over 5 years with visitations with my sons father. Then one day my son came and told me some disturbing things his father was doing to him. Cps ordered us to stop visitations right away. My sons cps counselor want it to go to court. She was counseling him for months and also thinks he should not have visitations with his father. It was suppose to go to court but never did. Like I said this is a very small town. My sons father is related to a lot of law here. He is related to the district attorney here. It's only by marriage. The probation officer is his uncle. His aunt works for a judge here. I just feel that they are looking the other way. His counselor says she doesn't understand why it didn't go to court and can't believe that cps closed the case. How can I go about moving this case to a different city?

You cannot. Jurisdiction lies where the alleged offense occurred, although you can contact the attorney general with your concerns. An outside prosecutor from that office could be brought in.
