Legal Question in Family Law in Texas

I live in Texas. I have three children and the youngest was separarted at birth from her two oldest siblings. Today she is 10 years old and the family is seeking to adopt. She doesn't know her other siblings, however, they both know her and have been wanting to meet with her and know her. What kind of sibiling rights do they have?

If the sibling is at least 18 years old (Tex. Family Code 102.0045), the sibling can file suit for access under Tex. Family Code 153.551. If the court finds that the access in the younger sibling's best interest, then the court SHALL grant the access.

One thing to keep in mind is that access and possession are two different things. Possession means you can come pick the child up and have some time with the child. Access can be as narrow as a phone call on Christmas morning once a year.

Good luck!!
