Legal Question in Family Law in Texas
We live in Texas first off. 19 days ago a case was opened with CPS on my family. My (step)-daughter talked to her school counselor about a dream she had in which I had touched in an inapropriate way. She has maintained through the entire ordeal that it was nothing but a dream. I have been "interviewed" twice, as have my wife, and daughter. They have tried every tactic trying to get me to say I am guilty, trying to get my wife to say she thought I did it, and trying to "tell" my daughter what really happened because according to them "it was not a dream, it really happened." I was arrested last friday and charged with display of harmful materials to a minor, a class A misdemeanor. my question is first what can we do to protect my daughter from being further berated and coerssed into saying something different than what she knows to be true. She is terrified to talk to anyone now as she believes it to be her fault that I cannot be with them because she said something. My secondary question is what I should do now to get my family back as they have no case, and are going to resort to throwing anything they can at me to keep me away from them.

You really, really need to hire a lawyer. Dealing with CPS is like dealing with the Nazi party. Find a good, aggressive lawyer who will bury them in paper.
