Legal Question in Family Law in Texas

I live in Texas and my divorce was just finalized. I took 1/2 of the money from an account that had both names on it when I moved out prior to divorce. During the court preceedings the judge did not award my ex any of the money back which he was going after. Now my ex says he will pursue the money issue with a civil case and use "judgement recovery specialists" to locate where the moneys were spent and utlimately to garnish future wages in attempt to retrieve the money back. My question is....can he sue for the same issue twice? Seems that the judge already made the decision and did not award any moneys back .....none of the money is left. Would it be considered harrassment if he did file suit again? How can I respond.....I have no means to hire another attorney...

Based on what you have written, you will have to respond to any lawsuit filed against you. Generally, once a decision on a legal issue has been made that issue is done and over. You may have to consider consulting with a local law firm to ensure that you are fully protecting your rights and interests.

I learned one thing in law school - anyone can sue for any reason at any time for anything. Will he recover? Now that is another story. If he sues, you will have to file a document called AN ANSWER stating that this matter was already covered in your divorce.

Wage garnishment is extremely limited in Texas.
