Legal Question in Family Law in Texas

I live in Texas, we won't to file for a uncontested divorce, but we are nit saperated because we are getting divorce under good terms. I was reading through the petition to divorce it has a column where it ask for the date of separation, but we are not separated so, what do I put there? and is it necessary to be separated before we wile for divorce?

You do not have to be separated. You simply have to stop living together as husband and wife.. However, I suggest you get a lawyer.
