He did not pay child support for about 4 mo. durning his unemployment He wants to pay his arearages before his ex takes him to court. How does he go about this. while paying his regular ordered amount?

All he needs to do is send the money to the registry (in San Antonio). They know what to do with it - how to credit it to current child support and to the arrearage.
He might tell his ex-wife about his plans.
