Legal Question in Family Law in Texas

I live in Texas and have joint custody with the ex where I am the primary conservator. My 6 year old daughter lives to play softball. I pay for everything when it comes to softball. My exhusband refuses to let her play when it is his weekend. Is there anything I can do to intervene?

In Harris County the judges want the children to participate in sports. It's good for kids - it's in the child's "best interests" to participate in sports.

1. You can attend mediation - read your current court order & see if you are ordered to attend mediation before seeking to modify you current court order.

2. You can go to court & ask the judge to order him to make him take the child to her extra-curricular activities.

If you need an attorney, I recommend PATRICIA BUSHMAN at 713-807-9405. Her first appointment is FREE. She will quote you a price & she offers payment plans. Tell her that I sent you to her. My mom just died so I'm not accepting new cases.

Good luck!
