Legal Question in Family Law in Texas

i live in texas and im not in a relationship with anyone no more. im curious to find out if someone like me, whos 19, can marry someone the age of 15; a four year difference. i know there are parental consents and a sort of jury approval for this action. but im wondering if it can still apply to this sort of situation; where im 19 and the girl is 15. can we still get married if we wanted to?

No.

You can read the TX Family Code on-line.

Underage application to marry is Chapter 2 of "Marriage".

I'm try to sum it up very briefly -- No one under 16 can marry -- even if they parents agree.

Now for anyone above the age of 16 but under 18 to marry they must have parental consent.
