Legal Question in Family Law in Texas
I live in Texas, I have my son covered on my health, dental and vision plan, I know I have to pay 50% of what my insurance doesn't cover, recently his mother got him contacts without my consent, will I have to pay for half the contacts they are not a medical necessity. I am will pay for half the eye exam and half of his glasses.

First, get with your attorney and carefully read your divorce decree. It has become more common lately to specify responsibilities with orthodontic, vision, and other health issues.
Also, look at the rights and duties in your decree. Who has the right to make medical decisions?
If your decree is vague, you might have to modify it to answer the questions and that might be more trouble and cost than it is worth. Perhaps a mediation session with the mother can keep you from a contested court case (and might be required depending on the language in the decree).
We find that most questions like this are answered in the documents, so start there.
I agree with Bob.
If your case is in Harris County, most of the judges will consider contact lenses a necessity. Many judges won't like your attitude.
Sorry!
