Legal Question in Family Law in Texas

I live in TX. and I am going to file for a divorce after 19yrs. There is a 5ac. property with a house on it we bought together and his father died in 1999 and left him and his sisters a 278ac. farm along with 3 rental properties. they formed a partnership with the estate. Am I entitled to any portion of this property. We do not have any children together. I have always made more money than he. As long as we have been married he has been fired from all of his jobs for except for one. I never knew which husband I was coming home to because he was moody, dranks and smokes pot.

His inheritance is his separate property. Generally, speaking, you should not be entitled to any of it. But, talk to your attorney about that when you hire one.

You need to hire an attorney to assist you with your divorce.

Look on this website & on www.avvo.com for an attorney to assist you with this divorce.

I am sorry that you are going through this difficult period in your life.

Things will get better.
