Legal Question in Family Law in Texas
I have lived as common law with my husband for the past 6 years. He previously married twice and told me he was divorced from both. He was killed last month in a tragic car wreck while working. His adult children, who have not been in his life for over 12 years, have now come forward and told me that he is still married to the second wife and he will benefit from all his assets. Do I have any legal standing to any of his assets?

You should contact a estate planning attorney you may have standing under the doctrine of being a putative spouse.
