Legal Question in Family Law in Texas

living together

I am engaged and we are living in the home I had prior to our relationship. He pays the house note and utilities. Does he have any right to this home, if we separate? We have lived together is this home for about 10 months. We do not share bank accounts, savings or credit cards. I do have him on my auto insurance as a common law spouse.

Re: living together

Yes. Since you have identified him as a common law spouse, he would have a community property claim for any payments less the value of rent for the time he may be a common law husband. Better get a lawyer. This could get messy.
