Legal Question in Family Law in Texas

I am currently living with my father in texas. I am pregnant. I would like to move in with the father of my unborn child. My mother who lives in louisiana does not like the father of my unborn child. She told my stepmother that if i leave my fathers house she is going to call cps and try to get my child taken away from me. Is this possible for her to accomlish to get my child taken away when i am twenty years old?

If you are still pregnant, I do not understand how CPS could take the child from you. Nor do I understand how a woman in Louisiana can provide credible information to CPS in Texas.

You are over the age of 18 so you are an adult.

Second, anyone can call CPS for any reason at any time. You can't stop her. Normally the CPS case is opened confidentially without revealing who made the complaint.

If you want a consultation, I charge $1 per minute to sit down with you and talk.

Most take between 1-2 hours ($60-$120).
