Legal Question in Family Law in Texas

im currently living with my step mom and real dad in texas. my real mom lives in oregon and i want to move back with her. im 16 yrs old and im about to turn 17in august. im not happy here at all and i miss my familly in oregon. if i try to amancipate myself when i turn 17 that means they got to sign papers and i know they wont. i cant wait till im 18 to move out! the resentment is growing and i know if i keep living with them, when i turn 18 ill move out and never speak to them again. what do i do to move back with my real mom in oregon? p.s. i live in cisco texas, and i go to cisco high school. im a junior, and my initials are vh

To "remove disabilities" (emancipate) in Texas, require that you meet certain criteria in Texas. These are in the Texas Family Code which are on-line.

I've been licensed over 19 years. I've only had one girl who qualifed and had the money to do it. She eventually decided to use the money to buy a car instead of hiring me.

It's not easy. Judges don't like it.

You must be self-supporting.

Being resentful is not enough.

Sorry!
