Re: What next

First, are the forms designed for use in the State of Texas? Texas has some unusual requirements that other states don't have. Other state forms won't work in Texas.

Second, you file the petition in the county that you live in. The clerk is NOT an attorney and must accept your documents. They cannot comment on if they will work or not.

Yhitf, then the Waiver of Service needs to be signed by your spouse in front of a notary along with the Agreed Final Decree of Divorce.

Hint: If the forms you purchased have lots of other documents such as financial statements, inventory forms, etc. then they were NOT designed for Texas.

I'm an attorney and I always hire an attorney when I need legal assistance.

Good Luck!
