Legal Question in Family Law in Texas
Long Arm Jurisdiction
I am involved in an Interstate Child Support Case. We live in different states. Dose Arizona have Long Arm Jurisdiction to establish a support order on me in Texas? I have never lived in Arizona, sexual contact was not in Arizona, child was not born in Arizona, Child and Mother live in Arizona. There are no acts or directives on my part that would have caused them to move to Arizona. Is the state of Arizona required to file a ''Two State Action'' in orders to establish a support order.

Re: Long Arm Jurisdiction
I believe your question is -- My kid lives in Arizona and I don't live there. In fact, I've never lived there.
I assume that the Arizona Office of the Attorney General has assigned your case to a Texas Office of the Attorney General.
Basically, Texas is acting as Arizona's assistant in getting child support.
I strongly urge you to retain an attorney to help you. It is worth it!
TX does NOT represent your interests.
Good luck!
