The Family Code doesn't seem to address your situation (it would be in Chapter 9).

You should start writing letters to your ex, and keeping copies of them (paper letters - not texting, not emails). Ask him what his intentions are about the property. If you don't hear from him, keep sending letters (be sure to put dates on the letters). After the fourth letter, write and tell him that if you don't hear from him by a certain date, you'll assume that he doesn't want the property, and you will dispose of it.
