Legal Question in Family Law in Texas

can I lose my rights for non-payment of child support?

I have a complex situation with my children. The Father and I have joint custody, but they live with him. I'm ordered to pay child support, but am unable to pay the courts bcause I have to buy the children, food, clothes, and other expenses. This leaves me broke. I've gotten behind on my child support, now my ex has filed in the courts to remove all my rights is this possible?

Well now that he has filed papers with the courts, you are aware that this is indeed possible. You need to speak to an attorney ASAP. If he has filed and you have been served with citation you have a time limit to respond or the courts could enter a default judgment against you, the appeals process is very costly so get help now.
