Legal Question in Family Law in Texas

I had a lot of issues with my exhusband after we got divorced where he was dragging me to court for nonsense all the time. The judge (in Texas) finally ordered that he reimburse me for all legal expenses and back medical bills for my kids. It wasn't a lot of money -- a bit over $3,000. I tried to get it from him, but never could. This happened back in 2000. I finally gave up due to the stress it was causing the children. They are grown now, and I really could use the money. How hard would it be to collect. The guy is loaded. He got a huge inheritance from his mother. So this would be like pennies to him. He just doesn't want to give it to "me".

It depends on when you last tried to collect it from him. Odds are you have waited too long and the judgment has gone stale. You should consult with a local attorney and share all the detailed facts and see if you have any rights left.
