Legal Question in Family Law in Texas

Lying about a child

Is there any law or legal recourse for telling someone they have a child when they don't? 5 years ago I got pregnant and my exboyfriend wanted nothing to do with it. I ended up having a miscarriage and never told him. I have lead him to belive that he has a child when he does not. He has not seen or paid anything to me. We have only communicated through email. Is there any legal recourse for not telling him does not have a child?

I suppose he could sue you for fraud -- but he would have to show damages, and it doesn't appear that he has suffered an economic loss.
