Legal Question in Family Law in Texas

ex m other-in-law

my child's been attending school in the district where her dad & granny live (she's getting a SUPERIOR education) for the past 7 yrs. i was driving her out there every day up until the beginning of this school year; her dad & granny have brainwashed her into thinking that she doesn't have to come home w/me if she doesn't want to. Now my daugther thinks i'm a bad person because of things her dad/granny have been telling her - she says she cant tell me what those things are. would it be a good idea to let her continue attending this excellent school (she's in 6th grade) or should i rip her out of that situation and possibly create a worse situation regarding her education? i was doing what i thought was in my child's best interest by letting her attend school in one of the best districts in texas, where she would also have adequate after-school care - but now it seems that it was at the expense of my relationship w/her.

Might be better if you limited contact with Daddy and Granny through a Motion to Modify and Temporary Restraining Order. You're going to need psychology/psychiatric testimony to support your story, but you might be able to get Daddy and Granny to pay for it plus all fees and expenses - presuming they have the money. Good Luck

Assuming that there is a current order in place, you might want to do a petition for modification with temporary orders. Each case is based on the their individual facts and therefore, without more case specific facts, it is not easy to provide you with a better direction. If my law firm can assist you with this legal matter or any other legal issue, please contact my legal assistant Jennifer ([email protected]).
