Legal Question in Family Law in Texas

Made new differing agreement with x husband over retirement funds 12 yrs after divorce. How do we make it legally binding?

A.I.D hard copies lost. A.I.D referenced properly in decree. Need QDRO to get retirement funds directly to me.

X wants my funds to stop if he dies. Is this unusual?

The documents should be recorded in the county where you were divorced.

A problem is whether the court has jurisdiction to enter the QDRO after 12 years after the divorce. If you have children under 18, it may be possible to modify the divorce.

You need an attorney that does QDROS.
