Legal Question in Family Law in Texas

If the man I believed to be my son's father has taken a DNA test(results negative) as well as signed an D.O.P is it really necessary for me to hire an attorney to change his name and remove this man from his birth certificate.

The question of paternity can be very confusing. For example, how long ago was the declaration of paternity signed and filed in Austin? I would imagine that you are definitely going to need an attorney to sort this matter out, assuming it can be sorted out. The name on the birth certificate is not your problem, it is the D.O.P., as you call it. I am a board certfied specialist in the field of family law, practicing in the general Houston area. I would be glad to discuss this issue further with you if you would contact me directly.
