Legal Question in Family Law in Texas
Man Custody
My wife filed for divorce with out reason...and sad to say that law sucks. Anyway.. I never cheated or abused my wife. She is trying to get safe Visitation. becuase she does not think i can watch my kids properly. The current house my wife is living in is not safe. ( Mold and foundation issues, also cluttered.) first off how do i prove to the judge that I am a fit father. Second, I have talked with friends...and they all feel the same issue that my wife might be suffering from Post pardom Depressing. How do i get my wife order to take a program.
What are the odds of me getting custody over my son or both kids? son is 3 years old and Daughter is 5 months. I trust my wife but also fear for the safety for them. also i fear my wife will leave state with them. do to the relationship she has with her family.

Re: Man Custody
There are very good family lawyers in your area on this website. One of them is Fran Brochstein. Although you always have the right to represent yourself (pro se), a custody battle is a very complicated and difficult one, and you need a family lawyer to do it.
Many attorneys will work with payment plans, but in this type of litigation, almost all will require a substantial retainer.
At the very least, spend $200 for a one hour consultation with a family lawyer to discuss the options of restraining orders to maintain jurisdiction of the children in your county, the process for requesting medical or psychiatric examination of the parties, factors considered when the court determines what is in the child's best interest, etc.
This is an area best served by someone with a law degree, and alot of family court experience.
