Re: marriage annullment
The time has probably run out. For an annulment there has to be some ground, just like in a divorce, such as fraud, mariage under the influence of drugs or alchohol, underage, etc. For most of them you cannot get an annulment if you have lived together since discovering the problem. There is no set time limit.
The cost will depend upon how much the parties want to fight. The process is the same as a divorce except that you don't have to wait 60 days. If both parties agree, then it can be fairly inexpensive; i.e., a petition can be drafted and filed and an order can be entered. If the parties don't agree, then the cost is not easy to ascertain. I have information on saving money in a divorce on my website at http://www.bobleonard.com/family-faqs.html#cost .
Re: marriage annulment
How long you have to get an annulment would depend on the reasons for the annulment. The available reasons seem to be: blood relative, concealed divorce, under age 18, under influence of drugs or alcohol (only short window of opportunity available), impotentcy, fraud or duress, or marriage less than 72 hours after issuance of license. How long you have to get an annulment would depend on which reason your annulment fits into. To find the court costs, you would need to call the district clerk of whichever county you are filing in. To determine the costs for the attorney, you would need to speak to whichever attorney you decided to hire. Thank you.
